DINING at The Cedar Tree Restaurant

Every week, our talented kitchen team put together a new dinner menu of the most superb modern British cuisine. Our team is led by executive chef Steven Pott, a multiple rosette winner who heads up a group of highly experienced and creative chefs, utilising the finest local ingredients to create mouthwatering dishes.

Formerly available only three times a year on select occasions, you can now join us every Sunday for a mouth-watering Sunday lunch – the perfect way to end your weekend in a relaxed setting. With the finest seasonal ingredients cooked up by our talented chefs, Farlam Hall is now the ideal destination for family gatherings, food with friends or a day trip out for a special celebration.

A traditional afternoon tea is one of the best ways to treat yourself, friends and loved ones.

Relax and indulge your senses as you enjoy a beautifully balanced mix of sweet and savoury delights, created in our kitchens by our amazingly talented specialist pastry chef. A choice of tea and coffee is served in the quintessentially English style using delicate china cups.

If you’re out for a drive or a stroll, visiting Hadrian’s Wall or just passing through the area, Farlam Hall is the perfect place to stop and unwind before heading out again.

We serve coffee and biscuits or a light afternoon tea of homemade cakes to residents and non-residents alike. You can enjoy tea and biscuits from the comfort of one of our lounges, or, weather permitting, out on our idyllic terrace overlooking our gorgeous grounds.

Small charge applicable, but no booking required.

Let us look after you – our luxurious hotel is open to all. A visit to Farlam Hall needn’t mean an overnight stay, our attentive staff are looking forward to welcoming you even if just for a few hours’ relaxation.
